If you are a necromancer chances are that you have worked with your ancestors from time to time. This likely involved altar work or samhain rituals. But how does one involve them to a greater extent in your magical practice?
Here are some suggestions:
If you are in the armed forces or a police officer, ask your ancestors to bless your weapon, not to kill but to aim true. The same can be done with sporting implements if you play. Your baseball bat is now lucky for a reason.
If you are having trouble with a particular individual and anger is flaring, ask your ancestors to intercede on your behalf. When spirits whisper to no-practitioners the targeted individual almost always considers it their thought. Especially if they don’t believe. Repeated “human whispering” can often influence an outcome.
The whispering ability can also be used in any occasion where influence is required. Seduction, Truth-Seeking, Positive Political Influence, Heading Off Bad Decisions, etc. This a subtle yet powerful tool in the necromancer’s toolkit. Be sure to thank your folks though.
Your ancestors also possess the wisdom of the ages. Ask them to council you before making that next big step. Being dead some of them are outside time and can see possible futures. Others possess great wisdom and experience. Listen to them when they whisper to you.
Ancestors also often guard their descendents against threats of a spiritual nature or can be asked to do so. They will protect your children when they leave for college. They will protect your dying parent and ease their passing. A ancestor can also Shout on occasions where their descendants are in danger. This can prevent vehicular accidents in particular.
Lastly when danger arises, call upon your ancestors for strength and speed and you will do some amazing things.
