More low energy witchcraft for you. Because right now I know I need it for me.
This one is on just spending time with your familiar spirits or, in my case sometime, at least giving them a little attention when you are horrible busy. I’m going to go through the things that are my favorites. And I’ll try to keep this shorter than other posts, mostly 😉
Obviously if you’ve been following any of my posts you may notice that my #1 favorite easy magic thing is: Tea. Have tea with them. Make them a cup of tea and pour it onto the earth, giving it to them. This part is the important part. Whether it is nature or ancestral spirits, the earth is the best way to transfer that gift. SO #2 after that would be: a meal You don’t necessarily have to bury this. Although it is good to. I generally have a little bowl I will drop some food in as an offering, and say hi, if I’m busy and running around, or don’t have the energy for a conversation. For the dead I would not necessarily give them some of my own meal but prepare something separate for them. Sometimes, to be honest, I do throw the food out in the trash after. If I’m not well enough to take it outside somewhere to get rid of it. It’s going to a landfill regardless. I know that might be blasphemy for some witches, but I have a disability and a job and that leaves me with very little energy for grabbing that shovel. #3 Just try to recycle. It’s good for the earth. And all you need to do is get the stuff to the recycling bin (which can be difficult, but is a lot less difficult than most rituals) #4 Open a window, say hi to the wind and sky. Go outside, even just in your yard in in a small patch of green in a city. Say hello, drop some eggshells for fertilizer to if you can get them. #5 Play music for the spirits visiting your house, for the spirits of the house, for the spirits of the land. Try to find music they will like. #6 Draw them something, burn it, bury it, or send it to them somehow. #7 Just sit, breath, focus on being here now. You are here now. Notice how they are around you now. Try to be present and realize the now.
