The bannik is an Eastern European bathhouse spirit that occasionally takes the form of a cat. Its mischief is abated only by offerings of fir branches.
I strongly advise looking for fold/clothes tutorials, unfortunately on pinterest, or on deviantart (tumblr/google/everywhere else). There are tons and tons of useful tutorials that explain everything perfectly. Check @grizandnorm’s tutorials [x][x] very simple and easy to follow. Check this tut [x] by Louie del Carmen, here’s a nice tut [x] by juliaim15
on deviantart. Look for some more (even in my faq is one…) and use references, draw from life, try to understand why all those folds do what they do 🙂
rant under the cut (it has nothing to do with the ask btw xD)
This is such a good image. I want this as a poster.
If this painting hadn’t been an uncredited repost, you would have been able to find it as a poster here.
The painting is by Tristan Elwell, a very talented painter. This particular piece is called Curses, INC, and was commissioned to be part of Vivien Vande Velde’s short stories, “Curses, Inc.”
Look how many links I put in. One to Tristan’s print sales page, one to Tristan’s art page, and one to the commissioner’s book. Those are three potential advertisements that were lost because this image was reposted without credit.
