This is a masterpost of tarot & oracle card spreads. None of them are mine; this is solely a compilation of various spreads found on tumblr. I’ve broken them down into sections to sort through them with ease. This is not a full list, but do enjoy the spreads listed below. Note: Witchcraft is NOT a replacement for medical care. You may have heard of water scrying, mirror scrying, and maybe even cloud scrying, but I have discovered my own new favorite type of scrying that I would like to share with everyone; storm scrying! How does one storm scry, you ask? Well, let’s take a look at my personal definition:
Storm Scrying ~ A type of divination in which the practicer observes movements in storm cloud formation over a weather radar to find shapes, symbols, or figures, and uses them to assume or predict a specific message or outcome.
Now, onto the how-to. Firstly, you’re going to need either the smart phone app iRadar, or a weather radar computer application. For desktop, I recommend trying AccuWeather.com~ Both the app and website are free to use, though I personally prefer the smart phone app because it actively tracks the movement of the clouds and wind currents, and it would be easier to take screenshots to save for later; whereas the website does not show animated movement.
Before opening up whatever application you will be using to scry, focus on the general area of advice you wish to seek guidance upon; For example, if you’re going through a difficult time with your friendships, think of the general friendship area of your life. Clearly bring the matter upon which you’d like to scry for into the forefront of your mind, clearing out all other intrusive or scattered thoughts that pop up until your single area of guidance is all that remains.
Now, there are a few different ways you can perform the actual activity of scrying:
☁ 1. Close your eyes and focus on your area of guidance, scroll around the screen, and click/double tap a random location. Work with whatever clouds or storms may be in the surrounding area.
☁ 2. Scry using the local weather for the state, province, city or county where you live. If you are scrying to find an answer that involves another person, try using the weather in their location as well.
☁ 3. Categorize the radar map into different ‘sectors’ that represent different areas in your life / different types of questions. You could separate them into areas for love, wealth, fortune, health, opportunity, work, personal life, relationships, friendships, practices, etc. Whatever storms happen to be in each sector whenever you scry are what you have to work with for the guidance you seek in that particular area.
Along these lines, I’ve left the rest open to you! You can choose to scry following my basic techniques, or get more detailed ~ Perhaps by associating a meaning with each color (The color of each cloud formation shows the severity and thickness of an area of the storm) or doing one general scrying session in parts over a series of days (as there will be some days areas will be without storm formations on the radar).
Hopefully my scrying technique will be something popular among other witches, weather-oriented or not, as I’d love to see what new techniques arise from my idea! If you have any questions or comments, feel free to message me or send an ask ~ Thank you for reading ☽♡☾
How to do a Tea leaf reading (aka Tasseomancy or Tasseography):
1. Choose a loose tea – you may want to choose herbs that lend to your intent/question or to enhance psychic abilities. Alternately, if you dislike tea, coffee also works (it is from a plant after all).
2. Use a wide mouth tea cup with a saucer.
3. Sip, enjoy and allow your energy to infuse with the herbs. You can keep your question in mind, or just drink your tea and let the message you need to know come through.
4. When you are finished, here are two of many methods a) read the leaves as they naturally land when finished b) cover with the saucer and swirl the cup 3x while asking your question – an extended version of this includes flipping the cup upside down after swirling, then back over and wait a few moments for the leaves to settle back into the cup.
5. When reading, first observe the cup and allow your gut response to the pattern. e.g. Evenly spread out = balance in the persons life.. and so on. Closer to the rim indicates things happening in the home/close to the person, then immediate family/close friends, and so on to the bottom. Generally the reading begins at the handle which represents current events, moving clockwise (see diagram). Some people can see further than others. So the sections can be hours for a 24hr reading, or a year, or a lifetime.
Look for letters and symbols (see chart). Notice those that jump out first. Allow your third eye and minds eye to work together, like seeing shapes in clouds. The chart above is merely a guideline to assist you.. personal experiences and associations with a symbol should be trusted. 🙂
a divination or fortune-telling method that interprets patterns in tea leaves, coffee grounds, or wine sediments.
The terms derive from the French word tasse (cup), which in turn derives from the cognate Arabic word tassa, and the Greek suffixes -graph (writing), -logy (study of), and -mancy (divination).
Divination attempts to gain insight into the natural world through intuitive interpretation of synchronistic events.
Youtube is a wonderful resource with lots of helpful information on it! I’ve collated together all the Divination Lessons I could find. If any of these links break, or you find something that should be added to the list, please message me!
This is as much a resource for me as it is for you – I have only watched part of most of these so take them with a grain of salt!
