So the first things I made were white vinegar sprays, I made two kinds: -Rosemary and Sage -Thyme and Sage
Both have a 2:1 ratio of white vinegar and water and both have a peel and a half of lemon and about two table spoons of sea salt each.
I cleansed the jars with water, then sage smoke, stuffed the herbs and lemon in, sprinkled in the salt, then poured hot water and vinegar in. Give em a shake and charge how you like as you go! I like to mentally say what I want from each item as I place them in the jar.
Let them sit for about a week then strain into a spray bottle and clean some shit. They’re also good for defunking carpets and throw pillows, just spray and let dry in the sun!
The second thing I made was baking soda, salt, and lavender scrub with a lemon vinegar water spray! This one you don’t have to wait to use, just mix it up and go! I used:
– 2-3 cups baking soda ( I just dumped a bunch in eye baling how much I think I might need) – 1-1.5 cups of table salt – Half a cup of non-food grade lavender
I set my intentions as I poured each ingredient in then mixed em up with a good shake. I cleaned my whole bathroom with this one jar and as you can see in the above picture, I still have enough left for touch ups or I can use it on my bedroom carpet. You just sprinkle the mix on the floor, let it sit for a while, then vacuum it up!
And this shit works, here’s my dirty ass tub before:
I sprayed the vinegar down then shook the scrub all over, let sit, then using a scouring pad I cleaned it off and then rinsed it with hot water from the shower and BOOM:
LOOK AT THAT.
I also poured some in the toilet, on the toilet brush, the sink, the floor, basically everywhere. When I was all done I burned some sage and have a beautiful clean bathroom without the smell of bleach in my nose! Yay!

Welcome to Firefly’s list of astral places. I always get asked about good places to check out in the astral and I have a huge list of places I personally love to visit in the astral. After a bit of asking around I’ve decided to come up with mini post on tumblr about places in the astral you can try to visit! Please keep in mind a lot of this is my UPG and experiences in these places. So here we go with the first place!
MARKETS OF BASTAL
The Markets of Bastal looks like a market place from a sci-fi movie or show. It’s very packed together and is full of markets. There is a ground floor that trains run through carrying shipments from place to place. The Markets of Bastal is jammed pack filled with markets of all sorts that will take currency or do trades. It’s ran by all sorts of spirits and you can find all kinds of people there. They do have a darker district that’s only talked about in whispers because of what goes on in the market. Nobody is really sure what got the market started just that it started and it’s been around for a very long time. There is a small council that run the markets that nobody knows much about, just that they are there and the police of the markets will be dispatched if anybody causes problems for shop owners or visitors.
There are a ton of shops like I said, rows and rows of shops that are full of life. Whatever you need you can find here. It’s one of the best places around for everything and anything. My personal favorites are the clothing and tea shops.
CURRENCY:
All sorts of astral money is accepted here. Some places will only sell via trade. There are small “booths” that are set up for you to trade currency as well if you need to. These are typically ran by various ram like spirits who have sharp eyes that stare into your soul.
SPIRIT CULTURE THERE:
There are all kinds of spirits in the markets. You can find all kinds of spirits and various cultures. It’s a good place to meet spirits and see other cultures and customs there.
SAFE FOR BEGINNERS?:
I would say yes, the main areas are great and I personally love them. This is where I started out when I decided to go and explore the astral. It’s very friendly and there is a lot to learn and see here. it’s the first place I suggest to people who are just starting to leave their astral and explore more astral realms.
Hey there! So, for spirit communication, there are several ways and I’ll only briefly touch on a couple of the prominent ones
There are the clairs:
clairvoyance (seeing),
clairtangence/psychometry (touching), clairaudience (hearing),
Clairgustance (tasting),
clairsentience (feeling),
Clairscent/clairodoance (smelling) and clairempathy etc etc to communicate with spirits. While some people have a natural affinity for one to several, they can all be strengthened by anyone with practice.
I happened to have owned an antique store and my clairtangence is pretty developed. I’ll get flashes of Information, emotions, etc. when using and developing the Clair’s, go with your instincts and don’t discount anything. If you walk into a room and keep getting a flash of the number 32, make a note and move on. But a simple way to communicate aside from the Clair’s are your usual divination methods:
Spirit boards or ouija
Pendulums with a board (yes, no, maybe, or even using a pendulum over a spirit board)
And my favorite, cartomancy and tarot cards.
So many people have spirit communication spreads, and that’s great, but an even simpler way and more beginner friendly way is asking yes/no questions and using cartomancy.

Major arcana: interpret as you see fit. Archetypes, people, major life events etc
Now, my method I use:
🕯Grab a candle (I use the glass “prayer” candles because they’re cheap, come in every color, and the glass keeps them easy to move and most importantly, are protected from blowing out from a gust)
🕯Trace or draw a septagram (seven pointed star, known for helping control spirits/keep things from getting out of hand, also good for limiting the interaction/influence to just that area)on the space you’ll be working/putting your tools
🕯Take a breath, center and ground yourself, and if you feel the need to shield, only shield yourself. If you cast a circle of salt, or ward your area, you’re blocking out the spirits and you’ll just be sitting in the dark alone.
🕯Light the candle and either vocally or internally invite a specific spirit like ancestral spirits (birth, local or spiritual ancestors) or just reach out and see who’s there*.
🕯For cartomancy ask a question, draw a card, and keep going. You get a surprisingly clear picture and instincts may kick in and in your minds eye, you may even get glimpses of events, appearances etc.
🕯Use whatever method until either the spirit leaves or you’re done with the interaction. Then blow out the candle.**
🕯Re-shield yourself, your home and put up whatever protections you had previously. You can cleanse the space, and cleanse your tool as well (sprinkling a little salt is perfect and simple)
Boom, you’re a spirit worker.
Couple notes:
It’s your space, you set the rules and the barriers.
*you can specify and make requirements and I highly suggest this especially if you’re starting out or if you’re just reaching into the void. Examples: “Only spirits who cannot/will not harm me are welcome. Only human spirits may come into this space. No lies or tricksters can be spoken in this time.” (but it’s only fair if you do the same)
**You do not have to say thank you. This is especially important if you end up contacting certain beings who may take it as an admissions that a favor was done and you now are indebted. Some handy alternatives are beginning the session/seance with “welcome” and ending with “farewell/goodbye” other options for verbally ending the session while being polite are “I have heard your truth/story” but if it’s a family member, or ancestral spirit, I have no problem saying thank you.
If you are seeking specific information or Information about your future, you’re better off interacting with an ancestral spirit or family member who you have a connection to (Julia Child won’t have any idea if you’re getting into Dartmouth). You can also VERY CAREFULLY AND WITH A CLEAR INTENTION AND SPECIFICITY make a bargain for specific knowledge. The way this is done is by stating what you will give/donate BEFORE.
“I will give you the first serving of tonight’s meal. In exchange for caring for your spirit, share any important information you have about _____________” then, make a plate of a small portion of each item and set it outside.
“I will light a candle in the church for you. In return, I would like your blessing on this land.” Then go fucking light a candle in the church for them.
What if nothing happens?
Make your space as welcoming as possible. Light incense, spray Agua Florida, burn some marigolds and mugwort etc.
What if everything happens?
If things get hectic, don’t freak out and don’t just leave the space. Say goodbye, you are no longer welcome in my home, and blow out the candle. Cleanse, take a shower, turn on the lights and CLEANSE YOUR TOOLS. The tool is the conduit, and leaving it open is how stupid stuff happens.
