Celebrate Gender Diversity With – Trans Pride Soap!
This hand-made soap is crafted after the image of Guanyin, an East-Asian goddess who transitioned from mortal assigned male, to divine woman, after reaching transcendence.
Each soap is made with shea butter and coconut oil. Available in four different scents, based after gender identities;
Trans Woman scent ’Longnü’ ((Strawberry, Lemon, Lilac, Freesia, Patchouli)
Trans Man scent ’Iphis’ (Rosemary, Buttermilk, Frankincense)
YO I’m also spreading this because she’s actually really important she’s Kannon (観音) in Japan and she has a crap ton of incarnations. One incarnation is this princess named Miaoshan who was pressured by her father to marry, but she wouldn’t budge unless she could marry one who helped the aging, sick, and the dying. Her dad was confused until she said that meant she wanted to marry a doctor, so he threw a fit and had her do hard labor. She ditched that to go help with religion and people who needed her.
Another incarnation is Avalokiteśvara, who was REALLY important and the quote says “it is easier to count all the leaves of every tree of every forest and all the grains of sand in the universe than to count the blessings and power of Avalokiteshwara”. So HOLY CRAP.
SO YEAH ID BEEN TO JAPAN, I WANDERED KANNON’S TEMPLE, AND I HAD NO IDEA.
Inspired by the fresh summer scent of rainstorms, the dew on grass in the morn’ and the soft sleepy scent of chamomile, the Oluja candle will envelop you within a perfectly soft, sleepy storm.
Crafted in small batches; handmade and hand-poured to order.
It’s not a secret that I’m not a rich witch. So if I can cut corners and get the same results, I will.
What you’ll need:
Toilet paper or paper towel roll
Tape
Wick or yarn
Wax (Soy, Palm, Bees, even Coconut oil or Shortening will work!)
Disposable Can or Jar
Flat Cookie Sheet
Saucepan
Water
Pencil
Alright first things first, getting your candle mold.
To the left is a paper towel roll, the right is the toilet paper roll. I personally prefer the paper towel roll cut in half; look how much more you get!
Next, get your tape and make a cross sticky side up like this
Stick your roll in the middle and smooth the tape flush against the sides. Now, take as much tape as you can and wrap it around the base with the rest of the tape. This step is SO important! If it’s not secure you get the mess I have below
Now secure your wick in the middle of the mold. Mine were pre tabbed so I had to tape them to the pencil to center them (Such a pain, by far my least fav part😒)
If you have yarn just tie it to the middle of the pencil, dip it as far as you can in wax, then place it in the middle of the mold like shown.
Now, get a saucepan filled a quarter of the way with water on the stove. Put it on simmer.
Place your can or jar in the saucepan (I used an olive jar thoroughly cleaned out.) Put in your wax little at a time to speed up the melting process.
Once melted, add in any color or scent and stir with a disposable utensil. (This is optional, if you want a simple white scentless candle then skip this step.)
Pour the wax in the mold carefully, hopefully it doesn’t leak.🤞
Let it sit for a few hours to cool. If you have a hole in the middle(I did) just pour more wax into it and let cool for another hour.

Sometimes they stick and other times it will unravel right off the candle.

We moved away from our store front and into a secured warehouse space due to walk-ins demanding custom buttons on the spot when the shop was more for browsing our catalog of items and for pick-ups for custom button orders placed online.
Just give us a day or two heads up. We like to clean up a bit and not have people needing to step over piles of boxes of button parts and scraps of paper. Right now would be a perfect time as our warehouse of studios just had a building wide sale and our shop is set up really cute right now.
