🌿set the pouch in front of the candles and say:

Things I’ve Learned

lunefrog:

As both a witch and someone who makes more mistakes than there are cells in my body

  • just do what works
  • like i’m serious if screaming at the moon works then do it
  • listen to your gut. it knows
  • work with what you have and don’t be afraid to cheat the system a little
  • eat after you preform magickal works, drink water
  • succulents are friends
  • spider plants can live just about anywhere but actual pots are best
  • rosemary doesn’t like water and will die very quickly if you over water it
  • aloe vera is a beast and flat out refuses to die
  • be like aloe vera
  • eggshells don’t decompose like other things they just kinda dissolve eventually
  • freezing eggshells keeps them fresh but they’re difficult to pry apartĀ
  • don’t use salt on plants they will dieĀ
  • enchanting your makeup is a good idea
  • put sigils everywhere
  • don’t be afraid to do magick for practical/ā€mundaneā€ things
  • always look at the mundane causes for things first
  • showers are a great time to self-cleanse and ward
  • screaming and throwing your grimoire at spiders is probably going to happen eventually
  • you should probably set up a schedule or an alarm to water your plants
  • store your seeds away from waterĀ
  • dandelions are friends
  • don’t pick the first dandelions of spring! bees need those to get started
  • sometimes just asking for something to lend it’s energy is enough
  • sometimes doing spells is the equivalent of kicking the universe in the knees until it does the thing
  • cursing bad people with lots of supporters is very difficult, but worth itĀ
  • be very careful with your wording and intent
  • your spells probably aren’t going to work out the way you thought

Tips to Avoid Negative Manifestations of Spells

songsparrowwitch:

Sometimes we do spells and the outcome comes about negatively. For example, a money spell could lead to a car crash that would result in the insurance giving you money. The spell technically worked, but not in the way that you wanted or expected. These tips can perhaps prevent these negative or unwanted manifestations.

Add honey to a spell. Honey can sweeten the results of a spell since it is a natural sweetener. Sugar is also another ingredient that can sweeten the manifestation of a spell.
Add jelly or jam to a spell. Like honey and sugar, jellies and jams can create a more positive manifestation due to their sweet nature. Use the different flavors to your advantage, too. Strawberry jam can sweeten the outcome of a love spell, grape with prosperity, etc.
Close any loopholes. Adding a few extra words can save you a ton of trouble.Ā ā€œThis spell shall manifest without any negative consequences by this Fridayā€ is a way to avoid negative results and speed the process of the spell’s manifestation (the faster you want it to manifest, the more energy is required).
Clear your mind before performing a spell. Meditation, grounding, and centering are just a few simple things that you can do to clear your mind before doing a spell. It isn’t necessary, but it is helpful to just focus on the spell rather than other things in your life. I’ve found that when I think about other things during a spell, my spell will get clouded up with emotions that I do not want attached to it, like anger or sadness, and that that can sometimes lead to negative manifestations.
Keep your spells in appropriate places. Keeping curses in the dark and keeping positive spells in the light will help the spell to manifest as you want it to. For example, if you have a spell jar for love, putting it in a dark closet may result in a darker manifestation due to it being infused with the dark’s energy whereas putting it in the sunshine or by a rose quartz will give more positive results due to the more positive energy that is associated with the sun and the quartz. This may not be possible for all witches, so if you cannot have your spells in open places, remember to close the loophole.
Add spell ingredients that have a strong connection to the spell’s intent. Some ingredients have more of a connection to the spell’s intent than others. For instance, if a person wanted to be a hired at a certain company, they could add the dirt from the company’s premises into their career spell. Doing so could greatly increase the spell’s chances of manifesting as desired.

So you’ve made a spell jar….now what?

I was recently asked what to do with a spell jar once it’s made. I thought my answer would be simple, but the more I wrote, the more I realized it wasn’t. So here’s a guide for those that need it showing what to do with different bottles depending on your intent.

Positive influence on yourself or in your life:
-Place somewhere you will see it very often, like a sunny window, bedside table, desk, or altar. Seeing it every day will help strengthen your intent and remind yourself why you made it.
-Place somewhere that you meditate. If you meditate regularly you can take a few moments during that time to hold the jar and focus on the spell, the result that you want, and how to help make that happen.
-Keep it on your person throughout the day. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. It will act as a conductor for the positivity that you want.

Beauty/Glamour:
-Place on vanity or in bathroom. Placing it at the central point of your daily beauty routine will maximize the use of the spell bottle.
-Keep in makeup bag/kit. Keeping it in a container with all of your beauty supplies will infuse it’s intent with everything inside.
-Stash inside your dresser or closet with the clothes that correspond to your spell (date clothes, party/club clothes, formal wear, lingerie).
-Bury in a pot of flowers and keep by a mirror you use for your daily beauty routine. Flowers are a universal symbol of beauty and having something living channel your spell makes it much stronger.
-Keep it on your person throughout the day. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. Keeping the jar close to you will help influence the beauty spell/glamour longer and stronger.

Weight Loss/Gain and Exercise:
-Stash inside your gym bag/locker. It will serve as a boost right before you work out.
-Keep with your food. If you are using it to control eating habits, keep it in your pantry/fridge IN FRONT of all of your food. It will be a barrier between you and your food. You’ll have to get past the jar before you touch anything else.
-Keep it on you’re kitchen table. If you are using it to battle eating disorders and/or increase your eating habits, place it where you eat all of your meals.
-Take it with you while you move. If you like to ride your bike for exercise, use an unbreakable/break resistant bottle and tie it to your bike. If you like to walk/run with your kids in a running stroller, put it on the stroller where your child can’t reach it.
-Store it with your work out clothes. The spell will bleed over into the clothes so that you have it whenever you put them on.
-Keep it on your person. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. It will influence you as well as remind you of our goals all day.

Influence Relationships:
-Place in the heart of your home. If you are trying to influence your family or the relationships within, keep it where you’re family spends time together the most (kitchen, livingroom mantle, game room, dining room). If you can’t practice openly at home, use a container that is pretty and not see through, fill it completely so it doesn’t rattle, and glue it shut. That way, to everyone else, it will just be pretty decoration.
-Give it as a gift. Decorate the bottle and give it as a gift to the person whose relationship with you, you want to influence.
-Keep next to their photo. Keep it next to a photo of the person you wish to change your relationship with.
-Keep it on your person. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. The bottle will work it’s magic whenever you are around the specified person.

Health:
-Stash in the bedroom. Placing the jar on your nightstand, under your pillow, or under your bed will allow health spells to work while you sleep, especially if you are bedridden.
-Store with your medicine. If you have to take medication regularly, store it with your meds.
-Keep next to your drinking water. If you use drinking water that isn’t from a tap, store the jar where you store your water. The spell will bleed into your drinking water to influence your health.
-Keep it on your person. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. If it is on your person, it can influence your health all day, healing you or protecting you from an illness that is spreading.

Dreams:
-Stash in the bedroom. Placing it on your nightstand, under your pillow, or under your bed will keep it close while you sleep so it can influence your dreams.
-Store with your pajamas. Storing it with the clothes that you sleep in will infuse them with the spell’s energy (unless you sleep naked of course, but I don’t need to know about that).Ā

Wards/Banishments:
-Keep it on your person. If the jar is small enough, it can be kept on you inside a purse/bag, coat pocket, or as a necklace. It will act as a shield to keep away whatever you want.
-Bury it in your yard. If you are just trying to banish something/someone from your life or ward them away from your home and family, bury it in your yard. It will act as a shield.
-If you are trying to banish something/someone and send them far away from you, bury next to train tracks.
-If you are trying to banish thoughts or habits or trying to forget something, bury it in a cemetery. If you can’t bury it in a cemetery, bury it somewhere in the woods and forget it’s location.

If anyone wants to add something that I missed, please feel free!

Good post except PLEASE DO NOT BURY SPELL JARS THAT ARE NOT BIODEGRADABLE!!! Be kind to the earth amd environment please!!

strawberry luck spell

spellcraftbaby:

strawberries are well known in magick to bring about good fortune and favourable circumstances. this is a simple spell to call the energy of the strawberry and bring you luck and perhaps help improve the outcome of a situation. best done during a waxing moon. you will need:

♄  a large ripe strawberry (luck, fortune, favor)

♄  a pinch of sugar (getting what you wish for)

♄ a green candle (good luck and fortune)

light the green candle and hold the strawberry in your hand. pluck the leaf from the top and wave it over the flame (so as not to burn it), then place it in front of the candle to rest.

as you hold the strawberry, think about the issue at hand and what you’d like the outcome to be. meditate on that until you feel as though the strawberry has been adequately charged.

sprinkle a bit of sugar onto your tongue and then eat the strawberry. blow out the candle, and carry the strawberry leaf in your pocket to bring good luck with you.
