Here is a spell to brighten your day, for anon. ☀️
You will need:
– A dark room
– 3 to 7 white candles
– A lighter
– Somewhere comfy to sit
Steps:
1. Set up the candles in a Crescent Moon shape in front of your sitting spot, unlit.
2. Turn out the light.
3. Make your way over to your comfy sitting spot, please don’t trip and have your lighter on hand!
4. Think about why your day isn’t so great as you sit in the dark. If feelings of unhappiness or anger wash over you, don’t stuff them down. The presence of these emotions are important.
5. Once you have decided you want to cease sitting in the dark with your unpleasantries, Light the first candle. Gaze at the candle as you feel your sharp emotions begin to quell.
6. Continue to light the candles, from one end to the middle. With each candle lit, let the warm glow of the Fire soothe your sadness or anger and replace it with a sense of calm.
7. After the middle candle is lit and your emotions are calmed, continue to light the candles. With each next candle lit, let the growing light of the Fire fill yourself with light and warmth.
8. Once all candles are lit, close your eyes and envision the brilliant Sun against a clear blue Sky. Surround yourself in the warm and uplifting energy of Fire.
9. Remain seated in front of the candles until you are satisfied!
I hope this brings a little light into everyone’s day! 🌈✨
Things have been crazy lately so I just wanted to take a moment and remind you to love yourself because you are important! No matter who you are or where you come from! Don’t ever let anyone tell you otherwise!
I decided to make a step by step “How-to Jenny’s Witchy Brew” for Self Love ~ Rose Soy Milk Tea ❤
Things you will need:
–Rose Tea: I get mine at 99 Ranch Market but it’s essentially just dried rose hips so if you have rose hips that you can dry out, that will work too! You will want to use 6-8 rose buds, the more you add the stronger the flavor!
–Organic Soy Milk: This can be regular milk or almond milk, I prefer unsweetened organic soy milk. If you decide to use soy make sure it’s organic! Brands such as ‘Silk’ isn’t good, even if they claim it’s organic, for some reason it burns and wont cook right. It’s gotta be the real deal! For this recipe you only need 1 cup.
–Honey: Any kind of organic honey will do, if you have herbal honey that’s even better for adding more florals to your tea! I usually add about 2-3 teaspoons, but feel free to add to taste!
–Cinnamon & Nutmeg: This is optional! I like to add just a pinch of both spices to add a little kick to my tea. If you don’t care for spice try ¼ teaspoon of vanilla extract instead!
–Sugar: This is also optional, I like my tea to be a little on the sweet side & since we are using organic unsweetened soy milk it helps to really sweeten it up! I only use barely a ½ teaspoon, but just add to taste!
–Small Pot
–Mesh Strainer: For removing the flowers once it’s cooked.
–Your Favorite Mug! Mine is a black mug with my astrological sign gold leafed into it!
Before starting, take a moment to close your eyes, clear your mind, breathe deeply through your nose and slowly release through your mouth (do this a few times). Visualize letting go of any negativity or weight you may be carrying on your shoulders…now…
❤ LET’S GET BREWING! ❤
1- Pour soy milk into pot, turn heat on low
2- Add rose tea, gently crumble a couple of the buds
3- Add cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar
4- Add desired amount of honey; while you slowly drizzle it in feel free to draw symbols with it such as hearts or infinity symbols- whatever you feel is right for helping to instill your manifestations of self love into your tea!
5- Stir your brew clockwise! While slowly stirring visualize the self love that this tea will bring you & say some positive affirmations about yourself such as:
“I love the person I am, I am strong & caring, I am creative, I am beautiful inside and out…” say whatever best suits your needs for self love and take a moment to appreciate the wonderful person you are! ❤
6- Let your tea brew for approximately 10 minutes on low stirring occasionally to prevent scorching. DON’T LET IT BOIL! You want to create an infusion of the flowers which means a longer slower heating process. Boiling will mean scorching the flowers and milk!
7- You’ll notice the rose buds will begin to loose their color, remove your brew from the heat to let it cool and allow the tea to steep for about 3 minutes.
8- Remove roses with mesh strainer and compost.
Enjoy!
As you drink, visualize your tea as a pink white healing light of love and remember your affirmations taking deep breaths in-between each sip! ❤
I hope you all enjoyed this & that your tea was delicious & full of positive energy! Feel free to try making this with other flowers which have different properties such as: lavender & chamomile for happiness and relaxation!
Ingredients:
Sea salt for protection and emotional cleansing
Dried daffodils for happiness
Dried sunflower petals for joy
Dried rose petals for love and affection
Eggshells (powdered or in pieces) for protection
Cinnamon for energy and power
Citrine chips for happiness, confidence and good fortune
White, yellow or pink candle
Combine as you please and activate by burning your candle on top of the sealed jar. When you feel it needs recharging simply burn another candle on top while focusing on your intention.
Wording a spell correctly is extremely important! We’ve all heard the stories of someone who cast a spell and technically had it come true, but in a way that wasn’t what they actually wanted at all! Here’s a list of common “loopholes” spells will take to get the job done, and how to make sure you get what you want!
🕯Taking its time- “I want money,” you tell the Universe, hoping to get some help with rent. Well, rent comes and there’s no extra cash in sight! Then, two weeks later, a surprise wad of cash all but lands in your lap. The spell came true, but not in time for when it mattered. This is easily fixed by adding “…by the end of the month,” or specifying what the money is for, which in this case was this month’s rent.
🕯No help needed- “I want money,” you say again. Magic will often take the path of least resistance, so if you’ve already got a paycheck on the way, the spell might not do much besides make sure it doesn’t get lost. There. Money. It can be good to specify that you want your spell to work in addition to everything you’re already doing!
🕯 Bare minimum- This time from your money spell, it arrives on time from an unexpected source! But it’s a quarter you found on the ground. Maybe three quarters. Not much help! If your intent would require the money to be close to a certain amount or any other specific like that, let it be known! The universe isn’t there to make assumptions.
🕯 For the worst- Let’s say you have two friends that have been flirting, so you cast a nice little spell to let any mutual interest between them blossom into a relationship and save them some trouble. It happens, but it turns out they do NOT work well with each other. They are interested in each other, but argue constantly and bring out the worst in each other. The relationship is hurting them both. You had the absolute best of intentions, but there was no way of knowing that would happen! This is why a lot of witches include the phrase, “for the highest good” in their spells, as a failsafe for any unexpected pitfalls like this that may be lurking. The universe will see them but doesn’t know to care unless you specify.
🕯Another layer- Once I made a dream bear to bring me more dreams. Well, I had lots more dreams, but couldn’t remember any of them! I didn’t think that was something I needed to specify. Make sure you hit every point you need to be satisfied with a result.
As a general rule, if my spell includes a prayer or petition of any sort, I take a few minutes and comb through it for stuff like this beforehand. What am I specifying? What am I leaving up to interpretation? Could any of that manifest in a way I would be unhappy with? Take a little time before you start casting to smooth out all those wrinkles! Best of wishes!
My ass consistently forgets one of these so this is a handy list
Banishing is a basic skill that all witches should cultivate, it’s one of the cornerstones of our practice and often one of the first things we learn as new witches. Whether banishing an unwanted spirit, a person you no longer want in your life or even a situation that you’re sick of being in your life, banishing gives you the power to clear and remove things from your life, giving you the power to control more of your life.
This kind of spell is best done while you are calm. Excess negative energy from anger or other strong emotions could cause a more hex-like effect than you would like. The result could be unintentional harm to your target as opposed to simply removing it from your life.
Below are five different basic banishing spells as well as what each spell is good for and what it’s weaknesses may be.
This spell is very simple to execute. Begin by writing down what you’re banishing, be it the name of a person or spirit or something more intangible like procrastination or negative self talk. Focus on what you’ve written for a moment, call it to mind as clearly as you can.
Light the slip of paper on fire and drop it into the bowl. As it burns imagine your target leaving your life and then focus all of your attention on what your life will be like after the banishing takes effect.
When the paper is finished burning you should dispose of the ashes away from your house, you can scatter them on the ground or into the wind or even just dump them into the trash bin outside of your house but get them away from you as soon as possible.
This form of banishing is excellent if you’re short on time or energy, it’s simple quick and to the point. Of course, proper care should be taken not to light yourself or anything else on fire. Don’t perform this spell on flammable surfaces, outside on windy days or in any environment that you can’t control. Another good idea is to be sure that any pets you may have are out of the room, you would’t want any curious whiskers getting singed during your spell.
4 THIEVES VINEGAR
This banishing concoction gets its name from a folktale that tells of four thieves who, during the height of the Black Plague, would steal into peoples homes and rob them in the night. Instead of catching the plague they grew healthy and rich. When they were finally apprehended they struck a bargain to trade their secret recipe in exchange for their freedom.
I can’t speak for the effectiveness of this vinegar against the plague but it’s long held a place in pagan circles as a protective and warding brew.
You will need:
Rosemary
Sage
Lavender
Thyme
Mint
Garlic
Apple Cider Vinegar
A jar or other airtight container
To make 4 Thieves vinegar fill a mason jar or other airtight container loosely with your herbs (fresh herbs are best). Cover the herbs with apple cider vinegar and screw the lid on tightly. Vinegar can erode metal lids over time so it’s suggested that you use a plastic lid instead. Label and date your jar. Store the vinegar in a cool dry place (your pantry is ideal) and gently shake it once a day for 4-6 weeks.
When your 4 Thieves vinegar is finished you can use it in a variety of ways. Traditionally, sprinkling it over your doorstep is thought to ward away your enemies. I find the taste of the vinegar quite agreeable so if you’re inclined to kitchen witchcraft you can include it in recipes (it makes a lovely salad dressing) to ward yourself against evil and even break spells placed on you.
Anointing oil (this can be any kind of oil you prefer)
Begin by slowly sprinkling salt in a counterclockwise circle around you and your work area, visualize the salt creating a barrier, protecting you during your ritual. Call the target of your banishing spell to mind and carve your intention into the candle. For example, you might carve “Mark will never speak to me again” or “My anxiety is gone”. You may also wish to carve a banishing sigil into your candle.
When you’ve finished, anoint your candle with the oil and sprinkle the pepper over it. Set the candle into your candle holder and light it, speaking your intention aloud. If it feels good you can turn your intention into a mantra to chant while the candle burns.
Allow the candle to burn itself out, this should be done on a fireproof surface and again, away from pets. Depending on your choice of candle, it may take several hours to completely burn. If you don’t wish to burn the entire candle you can carve a line half way or a third of the way down the candle and confine your spell carving to the top portion. This can be tricky if you use a taper candle, be gentle so as not to snap it. When the candle burns to this line you may blow it out and reserve the rest of the candle for another banishing spell.
CLEANSING AND BANISHING BATH
You Will Need:
A Bathtub
Epsom Salts
Chamomile (tea bags work nicely)
Lavender
Unsweetened Coconut Milk (optional, it has protective properties and softens the skin but milk baths are not for everyone)
This spell is one of my favorite methods of banishing. Unlike some of the others it’s very relaxing and feels freeing as opposed to the more forceful natures of the other spells.
If you like you can light candles and turn the lights down, music is a nice addition but whatever makes a bath enjoyable for you is perfect. Run your bath and add your Epsom salts, herbs and if you like, a cup of coconut milk. Swirl the water counterclockwise three times and chant the following spell. Fill in the blank with whatever you’re banishing.
“Troubles be gone, washed clean away, leave me free of ______ this day.”
Now all you have to do is relax, enjoy your bath allow the charmed water to do its work.
REFLECTIVE BANISHING
You Will Need:
A small mirror (craft mirrors with unfinished backs are best)
Something to write with (sharpies or oil pencils work well)
This is a very simple sort of banishing designed to reflect negativity back at the target so this is for use only on troublesome spirits and unwanted people in your life. You certainly don’t want your anxiety or procrastination reflecting back on themselves.
On the backside of your mirror write the name of your target and underneath it write
“You’ve sent me strife and caused me pain, I now reflect it back again.”
You can also add a banishing sigil if you like. Keep the mirror with you until the offending being has been removed from your life.
All of these spells are basic templates, more elaborate banishing rituals can be created by adding to these or combining them together. After completing your banishing there is an vital finishing step, make sure you check out the post I’ve written about protecting an energetic void!
Hey everyone! I’ve moved all of my best witchcraft resources to my new blog, many of my old posts now have downloadable upgrades and new information added. I’ll be posting new witchy material over there weekly, if any of you have topics that you’re particularly interested in learning about let me know!
A spell to remind yourself of your divine power within the cosmos
☄️
Gather a clear quartz and rose quartz
☄️
Hold the rose in your left hand and clear in the other
☄️
Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down, this could be outside under the night sky
☄️
Feel the crystals charging within your hands and think about how vast the universe is, your are a tiny cosmic blip, but the universe wouldn’t be the same without you in it.
This life I chose isn’t easy but sure is one heck of a ride At the moment that I hit the stage, I hear the universe calling my name And I know deep down in my heart I have nothing to fear And as the solar wind blows through my hair, knowing I have so much more left to share A wandering spirit who’s tearing its way through the cold atmosphere I’ll fly like a comet Soar like a comet
My favorite sort of love has always been the kind that feels exceptionally indulgent and luxurious. Like taking a warm bath with a glass of champagne by candlelight. I wanted to embody that sort of indulgence with this spell and it’s that exact sort of love that it will attract. It’s rich and velvety and hell, it combines chocolate and wine! What more could you want?
As always, preparation for spells is up to the witch. Cast your circles, consecrate your spoons, cleanse your stove, whatever it is you do.
Red Wine Hot Chocolate
1 ½ C Milk
1 C Red Wine ( I used Apothic Red, any red wine with dark fruity flavors works well though)
1/3 C Dark Chocolate Chips
1 Cinnamon Stick (optional)
In a saucepan over medium heat combine the milk, chocolate and cinnamon stick. Whisk until the chocolate is melted and you have a thick hot chocolate. Add the red wine and continue whisking until it’s hot. Remove the cinnamon stick and serve.
The intention in the preparation is important, of course, but the magic is in drinking it. Turn off any distractions and set aside your responsibilities. Get cozy, put on some music and sip your hot chocolate slowly. Savor it, spoil yourself, let that indulgent pleasure envelop you.
This spell can also be altered quite easily to foster self love instead of new love. Simply adjust the intention and get to loving yourself.
