I’ve found that when I struggle to acheive any goal, it’s usually because my expectations and my reality do not match. I either under or overestimate how things will go and my own abilities which leads to needless frustration. So I created this spread to help with that!
1. Your dream: While most of us probably already have a goal in mind, this card can either help illuminate aspects of your goal you might be overlooking OR it might present you with a dream from deep within that your soul longs to realize 🙂
2. Your expectations: We can often subconsciously expect things about our dreams. This card can identify if you are self-sabotaging by being defeatist, or overconfident, etc.
3. Your reality: Do you need to work harder to achieve this dream than you originally expected? Rely on others? Trust your abilities? Let this card help you bridge the gap between your expectations and the truth.
4, 5, and 6. Action: Three cards laid on top of one another as a three step action plan to help acheive your dream. The first card is horizontal, the second at an angle and the third upright (symbolizing laying down to standing tall and achieving your goal) Let these cards guide you along your journey and help you foresee how to deal with any hiccups along the way!
Free to use ❤ I hope this spread helps ya’ll as much as it’s helped me!
So, like many tarot readers, you’ve fallen prey to the decklust bug. The decks, they are many. Your shelf space is lacking. What to do?
Did you know that those old card catalogue drawers are a perfect fit for most standard sized decks?
Larger decks can fit too….
Deckbags…
Available for a steal at an antiques market or yard sale (if you’re lucky). You too can embrace your inner librarian, and save your decks from a dusty shelf, or hazardous heap of deck bags.
They come in all sorts of sizes:
and different materials, too:
… even better, they make an excellent surface for a tiny altar…. not shown ; )
Be warned, the empty space encourages new decks to arrive and fill the gaps!!
🔮Rose’s Tarot Tip🔮
Do not fear the guidebook!
I feel like many of us (as readers) strive to get to the point where we no longer have to look at the guidebook when giving readings. Now, that’s a great goal to set for oneself, but when it comes to Oracle decks, this isn’t as feasible. Many Oracle decks actually require the use of a guidebook for insight. Sometimes the image of wording alone isn’t enough to ignite our intuition! Let’s be honest here – sometimes taking a peek into the guidebook is an act many of us readers do more comfortably when we are alone than if we were sitting face-to-face with a client.
👉🏼Are you a closet guidebook reader?
👉🏼Does this make you any less of a reader to those you “compare” yourself to?
I think not! I am a guidebook reader when it comes to certain decks. I will gladly pull out my guidebook to read an insert for inspiration and then take the reading into my own hands following my own flow of the message.
Tips:
👉🏼gently let your client know you’re using the guidebook because there’s some awesome insight you don’t want them to miss out on.
👉🏼Don’t sit and read the entire page or two page Message, skim through it or read the main message.
👉🏼Prior to Readings, highlight the important lines of the guidebook so your eyes jump to them quickly! (I did this with the animal spirit Oracle)
👉🏼Allow the general message to ignite your intuition. Put the book down once this begins and give your own personal insight.
👉🏼Have a tarot deck handy to pull extra cards for clarity.
👉🏼Using the guidebook does not make you an inexperienced reader! Like I said, some decks actually require it to see the message. Animal Spirit Oracle being a prime example of that. ❤️
Some posters I made for my portfolio of a few keywords associated with the majors! Feel free to use anywhere and anyway you’d like, but if you’re going to repost them please do credit me, or at least don’t claim as your own 🙂
oh god no. i have some down okay (some major arcana, a few minor arcana that come up almost every time i do a reading for myself) but i almost always end up checking my book. i have eden gray’s complete guide, which is the only one i’ve ever used and works fine for me! + if there’s something i want to check into further i’ll use this site, which is a little obnoxious tbh but i like their card descriptions.
the benefit of the rider-waite deck is that the image symbolism is really clear – so even if you’re not 100% sure what you’re looking at, as long as you know the suit associations and have good visual analysis skills, you can usually hazard a pretty solid guess.

This is a spread I did to communicate with my guardian angel (hence the background drawing) and my dragon companion, so I’ve used it with guardian spirits too, and I’d use it for deities too. (My guardian angels gets so flustered when I ask if there’s anything I can do for him, says I don’t have to do anything for him. In the end he asked to sit together to browse pastel blue and pink stuff. He’s so cute.)
I’ve got another quick and easy tarot trick for y’all! The featured card for this one is The Hermit because I always associate it with taking time to care for yourself. 1. Find The Hermit in your deck. 2. The card below is what’s stressing or draining you. 3. The card above is something you can do for yourself.
I’m so excited I found these divination dice!! They’re ‘Astrodice’. I think they match my Cosmic Tarot perfectly and I’m stoked to do some divination with both of them!
