*Magic Brian voice* I’m so proud of zem!!!

Decided to put all the very good adventure boys together. :,,,,,,) I had to squeeze these out before the finale. I’m not ready for the Balance arc to end—it’s been a very rocky year and a half for me, but the show has been such a fun and safe mindspace to been in, and listening to it definitely made things easier to cope with. But the boys do deserve a happy ending, so I’ll just hang onto that for now.

i love the adventure zone because the moral of the story is that you can be hero no matter what.

even if you make mistakes. even if you mess up. even if you think you aren’t strong enough; even if you think you don’t know enough; even if you think you have nothing to contribute. even if you’re a random 18-year-old in a food truck, certain that your world is about to end.

you can choose to be a hero. and that doesn’t always mean strength or sacrifice or power. sometimes it means forgiveness. sometimes it means faith. sometimes it means doing what you love with all your heart — like cooking your way into your fate or writing a song that inspires someone. sometimes it means just doing whatever you can do with the tools you have — even if that’s teaching a magic elf how to make a taco.

so wait, since Taako removed the illusion spell he was channeling to make himself look like he was pre-the suffering game only after kraavitz came back….

that means, Even as he was struggling to transmute the portal of sapphire, He Didn’t Stop The Illusion Spell

THOUGHTS ON MERLE’S ZONE OF TRUTH…

frqp:

it was described as the strongest, holiest spell he ever cast. And it’s Zone of Truth. It compells truth, it REVEALS the TRUTH.

and the Hunger? It started out as a mentality. Dissatisfaction. it evolved into violent greed and, hunger, all as a reaction to the dissatisfaction that came with the meaninglessness of life…

and this Zone of Truth BURNED the hunger, just shredded it. so one could argue that in this, the message was simple. John was wrong. Life isn’t pain, to exist isn’t bad, and things can be good as they are. THAT is the truth. The complete opposite of the Hunger’s birthing ideology.
To exist isn’t horrible. It’s beautiful.
