I keep seeing people freak out about the fact that Overwatch is canon in TAZ but I think everyone’s glossed over the fact that we, the listeners, are also canon and fighting the Hunger in the Plane of Thought. The podcast is the green and blue light of Fisher and Junior being told by Johann.

This entire flashback sequence with Magnus learning that strength is asking for help.

That is… that is so important. That is a lesson that Magnus has been trying to learn through this entire campaign, something that Carey tried to tell him, the very reason he was able to escape the Astral Plane while in Wonderland.

Did Magnus forget that lesson after Raven’s Roost? He didn’t fight alone then, but he was alone after, and maybe he thought it would be better to fight alone than to risk anyone else by letting them fight alongside him.
