This is my go to tea when Iām having a particularly bad morning (or Iāve been having a rough week). Itās a great afternoon tea and taste perfect paired with some yummy homemade lemon cookies. ~ disclaimer ~
Ingredients
āļø Black tea (loose or bag) – simulates your conscious mind which may help aid in clearing mental blockages.
āļø 1 orange slice – promotes happiness
āļø A few blueberries – protection from negative energy and thoughtsĀ
āļø 1 strawberry (sliced) – attracts luck and positive energyĀ
āļø A teaspoon of honey – to bind your intentions and toĀ āsweetenā your current situation and mood
How I Make It
š I like just putting all my fresh fruits (and honey) in after the tea has done steeping for a few minutes. Something about actually seeing the bright colorful fruits in my tea adds to the happy feeling the tea itself gives me.
š But if you donāt like little bits floating around in your tea you could put the tea bag and the fruit together and steep them at the same time. Allow it to steep for at least 10 minutes, then strain out the fruit.
š You could also make a bigger patch of this tea and drink it cold. Though i would suggest just steeping the fruit and tea together and then straining out the fruit first before storing it in your fridge.
āYou are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think.ā – Winnie the Pooh
Iāve been spirit keeping for a while and I regularly communicate with a lot of spirits whom work with me and are my friends⦠and occasionally I like to do something nice for them out of love. I wouldnāt be where I am now without them and I really do appreciate their help and love. So what is something recent I have done? well, Iāve held a small get together with my spirit family (this includes my fae ancestors as well) I take a pot of tea and a few mugs out with me to the back yard⦠sit in the sun and sit with them and enjoy their company. I take a jug of honey and a few ranges of teas as not everyone likes the same thing⦠(I collect tea⦠its getting to the point where it falls out of every orifice in my kitchen) but a few things each one likes are here:
Demonics:Ā from experience and the ones I know⦠they like tea with a bit of spice⦠so cinnamon and also hot chocolate with chilli is a favourite. I like to have a few dips as well which contain chilli and roasted capsicum (bell peppers) as well. Donāt be afraid to put a bit of honey in that cup either⦠they do like it with cinnamon. Turkish delight is also similiar to something they make in their home land. Curried egg sandwiches⦠its made by simply mashing eggs and a little curry paste and smearing it on sandwiches.
Fae: Flowery type teas like chamomile and rose⦠also there is a french earl grey which contains rose and lavender petals which they do enjoy. Treats include nuts and honeys and sweet things like cakes and custards.
Vampirics: The vampirics in my keep do have their own little tastes and fancies. M who is a relatively new addition to the family enjoys a cup of English breakfast in fine china. You can also purchase a savoury item called black pudding which is made with real animal blood. it can be purchased from your butcher or deliā¦. Or cold meat sandwiches are a nice addition. Cucumber sandwiches⦠a little like aloe vera. Iāve heard some like mint as well.
Weres: In the past I have shared a plate of roasted meat cooked in red wine and made it a little bloody so they enjoy it more.
Angelics: I do love to make cheesecakes for my angelics and they adore the light taste. They also much enjoy brandy deserts and a small shot of gin every now and then.
Merfolk: My water folk are quite fond of salmon and I dont often like to buy it as salmon is dwindling in numbers right now as well as tuna, but you can make sure your fish comes from a good reliable source that doesnt affect the environment. fish eggs are something much loved by mine and i often like to give them sushi and seaweed items and miso soup. In terms of drinks, My octopus merfolk like vanilla and coconut deserts⦠hes a very big fan of vanilla things.Ā
Incubus/ succubus: My incubus are a bit of health freaks, so I like to give them fresh things that are healthy like salads and fruits. They really adore a beetroot and feta salad that I make at home and are fond of. Theyre constantly watching their weight and appearance. a good fruit salad is mango, strawberry, chia seeds, cucumber, watermelon and rock melon. They like green tea and also rosehip and hibiscus.Ā
Death spirits: My death spirits are a bit harder to please as they enjoy things which have been left to rot and deteriorate⦠one being apples. With scents they enjoy patchouli and I do make a habit to try to offer seaweed items and bowls of rice as these are Aās favourite items. A also enjoys jugs of ice cold water.
I just reblogged a post that reminded me that not only is hot chocolate tea a thing – but itās a great way to flavor plain hot chocolate!
Hereās my recipe:
– ½ mug heated milk
– ½ mug appropriate tea temp water
– *for richer flavor, use 2/3 mug milk and 1/3 mug water
– 1 teabag (black, herbal, and rooibos teas work best)
– hot chocolate mix
– *depending on how sweet you like it, you may want to add sugar or even honey
First brew your chosen tea STRONG, it has to compete with chocolate. I usually double or triple my brew time as long as the tea doesnāt suffer. While thatās brewing, heat your milk and add your plain hot chocolate – remember you want the tea to be done brewing at the same time as youāre mixing the hot chocolate. Remove the bag and slowly combine the tea and hot chocolate.
Now that itās getting colder I feel like itās time to post about chai spells!Ā
āØĀ Basic recipe for chaiĀ
āØ
– ¾ mug of milk (or milk alternative) – ¼ mug of water – Any tea that goes with milk (so no green or fruit teas) – Sugar or honey to taste
Heat up your milk, water and sweetener, once boiling whisk in your tea. If using black or milk oolong tea then do not exceed 45 seconds of stirring – it seems like a small amount of time but your chai will be bitter if you go over this time! Any tea other than black tea would be alright for a bit longer, but you shouldnāt need much time at all!Ā
Pour the chai through a strainer and serve! Drink this while hot for the best flavour (though it doesnāt taste bad if it gets cold either)

For the following spells, use the milk, water and sweetner and then add the tea specified! Feel free to personalise your blends!

I know I already posted this but its not only tea magic, itās chai tea magic!Ā
š Berries – Thereās nothing like a hot cup of camomile tea with a few fresh blueberries.Ā Blueberries = Protection // Raspberries = Protection & Love // Strawberries = Love & Luck // Blackberries = Protection, Healing & Money
šÆ Honey – Adds that extra bit of sweetness and honey is great for love and binding. Green tea with a little honey would be the perfect start for a self-love spell or ritual.
š„ Milk – I like to use almond milk. Almonds are great for fertility, money and luck spells. It also taste really good! I find taste best in black tea.
šĀ Lemon – Tastes great in green tea. Lemon is great for purifying and cleansing in spells and rituals. Would be an awesome tea to enjoy next time you do a cleansing meditation for your chakras.
š Cinnamon – This one makes me think of winter and Yule but it taste so good. Especially when you pair it with a little bit of honey. Cinnamon is most commonly used in witchcraft related to healing, love, money and happiness.
šæ Peppermint – Itās an acquired taste, for sure, but itās very yummy in most teas and can help relieve nausea, gas and stomach cramps.Ā
š„ Ginger – Another thatās an acquired taste. Itāll definitely add a zing to your tea but it can help with flu symptoms and nausea. Used in witchcraft to helpĀ āspeed things upā orĀ āadd passionā to spells.
