Cleanse your bed in the morning when you make it- to remove the stress and negativity of the previous night and have a peaceful sleep the next night.
Make a cup of tea and charge it with positive energy to get you through the day.
Clean your desk/workspace/wherever you do creative things and draw productivity sigils on it in cleaner or keep a clear quartz nearby to focus energy.
Bless your keys before you get in your car for protection on the road.
Use a special scrub or face mask in the shower for a glamour spell.
Spend time outside, or keep your blinds open to allow sunlight in.
Take a walk outside, if you can, and ground yourself with each step.
Use wax melters, incense, or other scented items to fill your space with an intended scent.
Cleanse your phone/other electronic devices- clean out the old apps and photos, clean out the negative people from your contact list, and reset your ringtones and wallpaper to increase positive energy.
Before you go to bed, take ten minutes and thank your deities (if you have any) and reflect on your day. Before you fall asleep, think of one thing that was good about the day, no matter how small, and be grateful.
This is a mask that my sister gave me the recipe for, she’s in school to become a skin care specialist. I told her I needed a mask to shrink my pores and get rid of my black heads and she sent me this. It’s all natural which is why I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make it into a spell.
Things you‘ll need:
Raw virgin coconut oil (make sure it’s non-gmo)
Raw honey
Turmeric
A lemon
A bowl & a spoon
What to do:
Put 2 tbs. of coconut oil, 1 tbs. of honey, 1 tsp. of lemon juice, and ½ a teaspoon of turmeric into a bowl and mix.
Charge with intent
Apply to face (it gets kind of runny)
Wait 10 minutes or more before washing off
I took a ritual bath with a bath bomb I made and put a spoonful of this into the water. The bath bomb had purification powder in it, and this mask’s ingredients are heavy with purifying properties. My skin feels amazing and I smell pretty amazing also. I don’t know where she got the recipe from, so I’m not claiming to have made it up on my own. I may put instructions for the ritual bath!
I suggest storing it somewhere cool, so the coconut oil stays solid.
I charged the mask with the intent of purification and to draw in a lover (the honey).
This is also a super low-key spell for witches who are in the broom closet.
*EDIT* Lemon is a natural toner / astringent, and it also lightens skin. So if you are darker complected and don’t want your skin to lighten. (though I don’t think that would happen with this) Replace the lemon with something that would appeal more to your skin tone! 🙂
Hellooo everyone! I did a lil something to celebrate summer since I’m finally officially on holiday! ♡
Materials:
• salt
•black pepper
•rose thorns (pins will work as well)
•sea water (you’ll need just a few drops)
•rosemary
•sage
•lavender
•seaglass
•basil
•4 candles (one for each element- I used blue for water, red for fire, black for earth and white for air.)
•marker
•4 sea shells (like these ☟)
☾1☽ Draw on the inside of the shells the symbols of the elements (one on each)
☾2☽ Light the candles, then place the herbs, salt and seaglass inside of each shell (the order does not matter). Sprinkle the sea water on the shells; while you do so visualize your goal, for example protecting your house from thunderstorms, from burglars… whatever you need
☾3☽ When you’re done, pour the wax of each candle on the corresponding shell to seal it.
☾4☽ Once the wax has cooled down, place the water seashell west, the air one east, the earth one north and the fire one south.
You can bury them in the garden or if you don’t have one you can bury them in small jars. You can also keep them on the floor or forniture inside your house! ♡
Plants can bring happiness and joy into your lives – learn how to take care of them properly and they will forever thank you!
1. When starting seeds, don’t over water. Many sites greatly overestimate the water a seedling needs, and this often leads to the dreaded damping off where sprouts fall over and die very quickly. It can be extremely disheartening to a first time grower. Make sure to only water when the soil is slightly dry. Another tip is to sprinkle cinnamon on top of the soil to help dry excess water, or water with chamomile tea.
2. Plant in abundance. Because seedlings are prone to many pests and problems, plant multiple seeds so you have some left over in case of them die. If some do die, don’t freak out or get discouraged – it happens to even the very best gardeners.
3. Plant looking sad? Try throwing a green tea bag on top of the soil. This helps perk some plants right back up. Also, compost tea is another awesome option if your plants are looking a bit sad.
4. Many plants need direct sun, but be wary of plants that don’t. If your plant is looking pale or turning white, consider moving them to another location where there is less sun. Also, simply hanging up a lightweight, see through curtain is another option and has helped some of my plants tremendously.
5. Use a spoon to check the soil moisture levels. Take a spoon and slide it into the soil and get some of the soil that is below the surface. A simple finger test can result in your plant getting over watered, because many times soil is still wet below the surface. After getting a little bit of soil in the spoon, pink the soil between your fingers. If water comes out, wait longer to water again. Be careful with the spoon method, be gentle and try to do this on the side of the pot – you don’t want to disturb the roots. Don’t go way way down, either.
6. Remember that many plants go dormant in winter. This means they require less watering and fertilization. They grower slower during this time, so don’t freak out if it appears your plant has stopped growing. It hasn’t, just give it time!
I hope those tips helped some of you! 🙂 I know caring for plants can be confusing and stressful, but its so so worth it.
Using small shielding wards while moving in crowded spaces to stop people from entering my personal space, using it to get a space on the train while others try very hard to not be too close.
Being a regular customer at a coffee shop, where the barista knows your order, using that regularity and infusing it in the drink to ensure a smooth work day.
Tapping into the electrical energy of street lights, traffic lights, the tangles of power lines or the wire work embedded in the concrete. Tapping into it to feel the pulse of the entire city and how its as never-ending and expansive as nature and the cosmos
Borrowing energies from businesses, abandoned spaces and construction equipment for on-the-fly spells. (Once I used a buzz saw being used for a building renovation for a shield spell)
Pausing at florist displays to communicate with the small fresh spirits living in the cultivated potted gift plants, their energies foreign in the space.
Meditating on public transit, buses and trains, tapping into the circuits they run, the power that sustains them, and the thousands of people constantly on and off them.
Meeting eyes with the birds who brave the city streets, connecting a kin-ess of survival under such unnatural conditions.
Marking sigils in the crook of my elbow in sharpie after designing them on the receipts that are tangled in my pockets.
Recognizing the glamor in mundane objects in stores, items being charged by desire and brand recognition by those who handle them, recognizing the residual affect it has on you after touching it.
Instinctively finding green spaces and specific plants you enjoy (for me its lavender, I can smell it from a block away) and having a mental map of where to pilfer powerful plants from city gardens.
Feeling the spirit of the city, all the energies of thousands of people and history and industry only -just- covering the nature that existed there for millennia before it, feeling all this as you walk through the quiet dark streets in the early morning hours.
