Last night I was thinking- never a good thing, causes all kinds of trouble to anyone around me -that a position as a homemaker, is a terribly convenient place of power for anyone who practices magic. Regardless of any labels, I’m mostly referring to witchcraft and folk magic here.
But anyway. I’m going to ramble here, so bare with me! Besides the practical- and obviously easy to infuse with magic since they are already magic -skills like cooking, cleaning, sewing, etc. the homemaker has a lot of say what goes in and around the home. When my little sister was being bothered by a wayward ghost who had taken a liking to her, and was spooking in front of her bedroom door!(Hate for creepy dead guys who lurk in pre-teen bedrooms) I talked to my mom to yell at said dead creepster, and yell him out of her house. Angry gets shit done. And an angry parents? Gets shit done even faster.
Also, you as a homemaker/home-owner have a special bond with your house. Don’t get me wrong, when a house is old, there is a possibility that in different layers of time, previous owners entities/ghosts still live, and that is fine. But, when someone-thing comes into your house, and creeps on your child/someone of your family, you ánd the house can work to eject the pitiful creature.
I have always talked to my parents house, and I talk to my own house. I greet it when I come home. I talk to it while I am cleaning, I talk to it when it is nice and cozy inside, before I go to bed, I praise the house how well it protects me and my family, and I ask it to keep up the good work. And with that, you can also ask the house to help with things. I’m not going to give away secrets here. But when you do protection-work in and on your home, talk to your house. Make it part of said working. Tell the house how you do the working, and what it should do, and the reason you are making it. So when creepers do happen, you can tell the house to activate said protection, or even, energetically bar every door in the bloody house. Or even better, confine the creature to a specific area and keep it there. And prevent it from going into the walls.
For some reason, in my mind, when I thought about it, I kept seeing those large sets of keys from like Victorian times, that the mistress of the house had. That could be a great focus object for something like that.
A Ward Filler is what you put on the inside of the ward, in your actual space. This is so that even if an intruder or harmful energy manages to get past your wards, the inner space is still unsafe for them. Anything that you could visualize or imagine protectively clouding or filling up your space could be used as one.
You want your Ward Filler to have at least these properties:
Anti-Teleport: So those that are not invited in can’t just teleport past your wards.
Terrain Damage: So that the area is still unsafe for intruders.
Malleable Cloud of Protection: So that it could concentrate itself around you when an intruder happens.
A few potential examples:
Toxic gas: Made from the clouds of burning incense filling your space, imagine the incense smoke being poisonous to any and all intruders.
Candle: Imagine the fiery energy from the energy filling up the space, burning anything that tries to enter. Additionally, you could imagine the light could fill up the space and be damaging as well.
Light: Imagine the light from a certain lamp filling the space and frying any intruders that enter.
Protective Mist: As you spray the water around the room, imagine the water energy lingering in the air and automatically filling the lungs of any intruders, drowning them unless they leave immediately.
Recently after the problem that @pippenthe-astralkid encounter I thought it could be a good idea to give you ideas of wards you could create around your astral space (or even around your house, or as a shield around you). So here we go ! Don’t hesitate to add your ideas in the comments or in reblog !
• A ward against entities who have bad intentions toward you and your spirits companions That’s like THE BASIC lmao, I think everyone should have multiple of this ward. Because yes, you have to have multiple wards with the same purpose I think.
• A ward against teleportation Because that way spirits can’t teleport directly in your house and pop up at random time, they’ll be forced to just walk and knock at your door. I think it’s more safe that way !
• A mirror-ward The mirror ward will reflect all the negativity such as curses, jinxes, hexes, bad intentions, bad vibes etc and will just re-send it to the person who sent it to you.
• A ward against nightmares It’s really amazing when you made a nightmare and you’re terrified haha. I use it more than I should probably but it’s so good honestly.
• An emergency ward This ward is REALLY REALLY IMPORTANT ! It’s always good to have emergency ward that you can activate if something goes wrong. For example a ward that will banish every spirit except your spirit companions of your astral space if you activate it. It’s amazingly useful and will save you a lot believe me haha
• An illusion ward (or invisibility ward) That ward will create an illusion to spirit that have bad intentions toward you or your companion, so that way for example they can’t see your house and will just pass their way.
• A bell-ward This ward act a bit like an alarm, it will send you a signal in your mind that someone just passed through your ward. So that way you can know when someone is coming and who it is !
• A ward for purification That way your space is always clean and neat ! Don’t forget to cleanse your ward because otherwise it will be full of negativity and will attract it.
• A labyrinth ward It’s kind of a trap ward, if someone try to enter in your wards by breaking them, this ward will activate and they will be sent into a labyrinth. When they’ll find the end of the labyrinth it will send them far far away of your astral home ! This ward is pretty hard to build but it’s really amazing once you have it.
Anyway, those are mostly wards that I use even if I have a lot more. Don’t forget that you can ask the help of the elements to build your wards ! You can also ask the help of spirits sometimes if they’re wishing to, and please be safe. Also don’t build wards if you feel tired or if you’re in a bad mood !! That’s really important and you need to take care of yourself first. Don’t hesitate to add ideas on this list 💕 I wish you all the best !
I did a symmetrical sigil for once! I got this idea from a text post I saw on here, a tip saying that you can use your router for warding. Can’t remember who posted it but kudos to you for a great tip!
The purpose of this is to just show you how I have done some of my more specialized wards in the past to give an idea of the kinds of things that you can do and what’s involved in them. The procedures for these were adjusted so that they can be used universally instead of being specific to me and my abilities. However, that means that I haven’t tested the efficacy of each when made from their new procedures. There really shouldn’t be much problem, I mean the major difference is just the way the sigils are programmed as I have a private and unique way for making sigils, but I wanted to throw the disclaimer out there anyway. Anyways, use at your own risk and I’m not responsible for anything that happens if you choose to do these. P:
