Some tree updates! (~2 Months)

The Jacaranda mimosifolia seedlings are getting very rowdy and I will need to separate them soon lest I end up with another situation like with the palms and Mesembryanthemums… Their foliage is super pretty and looks a lot like some fern fronds! (Fern tree is also literally one of its common names due to this resemblance.)

The Acacia stenophylla seedlings have gotten almost too tall for the light box. I found out that they’re hardy in Seattle (8b), so I’m moving them outside and getting them adjusted to the sunlight.

It’s difficult to photograph right now, but they’ve started to form phyllodes, which is when the petiole (the stem part of the leaf) flattens out to become a leaf-like photosynthetic structure.
