Bath with lavender buds: looks like bugs. Have to do a âtick checkâ on self afterwards to find any stray buds.
Bath with chamomile: itâs all over u in tiny pieces
Iâm thinking Iâd just throw a literal chamomile tea bag in the bath instead.
Also consider: simmering desired herbs in a pot on the stove. Straining. Adding the herb water/tea to the bath and enjoying the benefits of the herbs without stuff floating around if that isnât your thing!
I know I’ve seen this online before but also: consider putting messy herbs in one of those loose-leaf-tea ball strainers! That way you don’t get herbs on yourself or clog up the drain!
Every now and again we all need a little confidence boost right?
I for one definitely do!
Discover this simple bath spell to revive confidence and imbue your life with a little bit more self compassion. It is also great for setting new goals if thatâs something you personally need to do! You can put the mixture in the bath by itself or use a muslin bag for the bath.
If you want to take in some crystals with you I recommend rose quartz and amethyst (or whichever crystals are best suited to you).
Ingredients:
1/3 cup of sea salt
1/3 cup of epsom salt
½ cup of dried lavender
½ cup of dried rose petals
5-10 drops of rose essential oil (or any oil of you choosing you associate with you intention)
1 tbsp of coconut oil (melted)
1 tsp of honey (optional)
Once you have created this mixture put it all into your bath and climb in. Let the ingredients steep and the steam create a wonderful smelling aroma.
Spell work, speak the following:
Though road may make me weary,
feet tired from walking,
body sore from the storm,
I will wash away traces of hardship
and allow my heart
to transform.
Then using your hand that has been in the bath water, anoint your opposite wrist (on the inside) with a heart shape. Bring it to your forehead, press it to the centre and say:
My mind be clear of worries.
My heart be clear of woe.
My spirit be open to my inner truth.
Then soak in the bath until the water is no longer warm. While you are bathing focus on allowing your current stress to dissolve. Think of certain goals you would like to achieve and manifest them in your mind to commit them to memory. These will be your new inner truths.
Personally I always use bath spells for my craft as baths are the one time I get to be alone, relax and focus on my spell work.
Please email me on moonmaagick@outlook.com if you have any questions and please feel free to adapt the spell to your personal choice.
Please donât get me wrong for a second! Iâm a beauty witch. IÂ love pink and flowers and pretty spells and laying out alters and being sweet and the crushing on the moon yadda yadda.

Iâm also becoming more comfortable with the maintinence of this path which entails, for me at least, getting a little down and dirty with the self. Much like the physical body, the spiritual self gathers grime. The more you live, the dirtier you get. I have anxiety! I have to defend myself and confront my own thoughts on the reg. I get into arguments and goof off and mess up. There are things I do that I have to forgive myself for. And thatâs just the things I think of as harmful. Ever crash from being too happy? Witchcraft, such as life, is messy messy work! So I acknowledge this side of life by taking a bonk-ass ugly bath. I know that the consensus seems to be that a bath is you-time, and should therefore be pretty and soft. I disagree! Here there be no glitter, no sweet sights, no fragrant flowers. Sometimes it feels good to wallow and come out clean. I take this bath as often as I feel the need. Itâs discreet and really cleansing. Itâs a reminder to not only forgive the ugly, but relish it.
What I use:
đ Powdered clay or a little dirt. I use benonite clay to make my own masks, and it comes in powdered form for easy peasy incorporation. Plz no dirt that has been treated with pesticides. If you canât access dirt like this, cascarilla works too!Â
đ Epsom salts, whichever scent. I use eucalyptus and spearmint because it cuts through bad thoughts like a knife through fog.
đ Your usual cleaner, but not enough to foam. I use cetaphil.
đ Whatever crystals you want. I use my quartz point, because I usually have it with me anyhow.
How to:
đ Run the water and ask it to draw out blockages, harmful energies, or anything you need to let go of. This water found its way through your pipes and into your bath. It will listen if you ask with a sweet voice.
đ Sprinkle in some of your clay, literally a dash. Ask the clay to draw our lingering energies.
đ Put a little of your facial cleanser into the water to add a personal touch, and to remind yourself that itâs always necessary to do the washing up.
đ Sprinkle in the salts, and ask them to fill you with calm.
đ Set your crystal on the rim of the bath, or under the water if itâs cool with that.
đ Have a nice soak. If you feel the need to confront some ugly truths, now is the time to give them to the water.
By the time youâre satisfied, the water should not be clear. Mine is usually a murky grayish-yellow, but thatâs ok! Drain the water and hop in the shower, because thereâs no way that bath cleaned your body. Delight in it! You might be feeling better now, lighter.
Remember that everything is a cycle. We clean ourselves off just to become dirty again. This is part of the experience, an for that reason we should greet it with a little celebration. đ
