This is a type of spell casting that I have been using, specifically in public places.
Dear closet witches, take note:
This type of spell casting involves sigils. The most difficult part is remembering the sigils well enough to recreate. If you create your own sigils, you can create them on a whim using intuition, but I’d only recommend that only those well-practiced in sigil craft do so.
Here’s how I do it:
Step #1:
Using your dominant hand, draw a circle about the size of your torso. (Once you become well acquainted with the visualization, the amount of actual body movement can become extremely minimal.) Then hold up your non-dominant hand, open palm forward, at your waist/hip and begin visualizing that the circle is maintained and can be moved around by your non-dominant hand.
Step #2:
Using your dominant hand again, draw a sigil within this circle. (While still holding up your non-dominant hand- you should be able to do this while walking around)
-The image above is a sigil that is designed to absorb curses and dispell them. This sigil is the one I use more often than any other.
Step #3:
Once your sigil is complete, begin feeding it the energy and intent necessary to power it through your non-dominant hand, while adding a spin or movement to the sigil with your dominant. Once the motion is strong, and the sigil is adequately charged, begin to walk through the sigil. Maintain the sigil with your controlling hand until it has fully intersected you body. Then snap with your dominant hand and say the magic word. For me, when breaking curses, I use the word “Break”. Make it short, sweet, sharp and powerful; even if it is done mentally.
BOOM!
You have then cast a snap spell.
Once this kind of casting becomes second nature, you can begin to do more complicated spells. Like casting a spell that has three sigil circles, that all float around your body at different angles.
You can rub some herbs (preferably whole leaves) on it.
Be sure to do your research to ensure that the herbs you use are not toxic / can be harmful to and through the skin, or if you have any allergies.
You can hold the sigil over the flame of a candle (heat).
This works best on certain parts of the body (i.e. limbs).
Be careful to not hold your skin too close to the flame – just enough to feel the heat. Remember to prepare for and perform any fire safety methods if necessary.
You can hold the sigil over burning incense (smoke).
This works best on certain parts of the body (i.e. limbs).
You can focus on the blood flow inside your body where the sigil is drawn.
You can sit out in the sun light with the sigil exposed.
You can sit out in the moon light with the sigil exposed.
You can recite relating prayers over it.
You can have a shower.
Yep.
Draw the sigil on your skin with something yummy – like chocolate sauce, something definitely edible – and lick it off.
Here’s my rule of thumb: if it has energy, can generate energy, or can move energy, it can be probably be used to charge sigils.
I am putting other, some would even say “controversial” (though I wouldn’t), charging methods under the “read more” for various trigger warnings / mentions.
– charge with energies you want to imbue the person who the name belongs to with (for example, if you wanted to give yourself more courage, you could charge the sigil by burning it with fire, since fire often correspondes with courage)
– witchy signature
– grounding
– to connect with oneself
– use the name sigil of someone else to connect with them
– similarly, empaths can use the name sigil of someone else to focus their abilities on that/those person(s)
– connect with a new name for yourself, such as your witch name or your preferred name
– direct a spell toward someone specific through the use of their name sigil
I created and use this sigil for my spirit working, although it can be used for basically anything 🙂 that’s why I like simple, one word sigils. They are extremely easy to program with intent to do a variety of jobs.
✨I TAKE SIGIL REQUESTS ✨ send them in to @thatgayguywitch so I have something to do while I’m bored at work 😂✨😂
and I do not fear loss. There are more, but those were the first ones that came to mind. It is great when you look at a sigil you’ve just made and it just fits your intent perfectly.
You can go with friends or family to a pottery painting place, and whatever piece you choose you can enchant it✨
• Draw sigils on the piece before painting to charge it, and the kiln will burn the graphite off to cast it.
• Paint sigils under the first layer of paint, or even on the top layer, inside a mug(if that’s what your painting) or on the bottom! Being fired in the kiln will charge it, and every time you use your mug, bowl or jewelry holder it will add some magic to the content inside!
• If you’re a secret witch like me, and sigils look kind of sketchy but you want them on the outside, paint them small, and in a pattern, so it looks like a decorative border.
• Paint sigils large, and add flowers, stars, dots or a pattern around or on it to make it look like part of an abstract design.
It’s a great way to spend time with people important to you, crafty and even if you’re a secret witch – you can do this too! I did this with my boyfriend today✨
Good luck my witchy friends🥀
